Things have been really slow in the Classified's in the past year or so, but I'm going to give this a try.

This is a heavily modded Adcom GDA-600 D/A converter. I did the mods w/ the help of a few on here and a friend of mine who is steadier with an iron than I am. The mod is about 6 years old. The original thread I detailed the journey is gone since they switched to Vanilla (or atleast I can't find it).

The power supply was modded with Panasonic FC, Nichicon (Fine Gold) and Muse caps (almost all of them were replaced) about 8-10 caps in all, IIRC.

On the analog side,

a pair of dual BB - OPA627 opamps were installed. They are from Cimmaron Technologies and are mounted on an adapter that makes them easily removable. Light years ahead of the originals. Caps were mounted to the under side of the op-amps to prevent oscillation, so I have no doubt any other current dual op-amp could be swapped in each channel. Including discretes.

All the caps in the signal path were replaced with RTE and Multicap polypropylene types. About 10 caps in all.

Total material costs at the time was just shy of $150.

It was totally transformed, read all the reviews or ask anyone that owns one here on the forum. A bunch of guys followed the lead set by George Daniel and every person was wowed!!

Here is a really long link that covers the entire process w/ testimonials and reviews.

If I can find my original pics of the mod I will post them later.

Unit condition is about 7 close to an 8. Top has some light scuffing, hairline scratches, front face is clean, no fading or dings. Everything works, I miss the versatility of 2 coax, 1 optical and 1 AES/EBU. I think I have the original box.

I was keeping this in the audio closet, but I will probably never have a need for it. A great, analog sounding unit that I have owned for a very long time.... never disappointed.

$200 plus shipping

P.s I have a pair of Burson discrete voltage regulators that I will throw in deal. I never put them in, they are brand spanking new!

    *sale pending*

It is a hard decision, but I can't think when I might use it again. I'm fully invested and very happy with the EE DAC Plus (wish it had one more coax input however). I have the wonderful Keces (usb) in the office rig. Thought long and hard about a 3rd rig for awhile, but it would just be room candy as the office rig barely gets much use these days as it is.

I did pull it out the out the other day and put it in the main rig again, not too shabby. But it's time to move it along to someone that can use it.

I'm looking forward to listening to this. My Sony SACD broke and I've been using my HD DVD player, which I'll now test out as a transport.
