Any reason NOT to get a Hafler?

I think I have found a couple of big Haflers, models 9505 and DA-500 (250W/ch). If I decide against getting a Parasound, anything wrong with either of these? Thanks.

DH-500's run a little hot, have a fan inside, and could well be loaded with electronics that are starting to go out of spec.

What was the outcome of the problems you were having with the Parasound ? If you posted it in the original thread, I missed it at the time. -

PW,
I have no idea what's wrong with this little Parasound. I tried reconnecting the speaker wires better and plugging it in directly to the wall outlet. No improvement. It starts overloading WAY too early.
I finally decided to get a Parasound HCA-2200 from Hawthorne Stereo up in Seattle. $800 shipped. Their "8" rating, at least how it was described over the phone, would be what I would still call "very excellent."

I have a Hafler I use to power two 10" JB Audio subs. Love it, works great, lots of thump!
