Curious as to what the consensus is on these. They are at about the max depth and height I can do, and at what I consider a decent price.
Forget the discussion on the owner of the company as I'm well versed with all that jazz.
Lets keep the comments simply to the speakers. They are front ported so that helps a bit since they will be basically right up against the wall...

i had the monitors for a bit, there were nice looking for the price but I wasn't particularly impressed. I will say I was just powering them with a mass market receiver and I didn't give them much of a chance, but I liked the rt25i's much better.Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

Cool. I'm reading up on the interwebz too but figured I see if folks had real world experience with em....
Compared to say the Energy RC-10's what are your thoughts?"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
Well I never directly compared them, but I don't really think there is any comparison. That silk tweeter was pretty anemic to my ears, whereas the metal dome tweeter in the RC10 is actually really smooth and extended, and retrieves a lot of detail. I DID directly compare the LSi7s and the RC10s, and it was REALLY close. I actually think I went with the LSis just because I had always wanted a pair. I think that the RC10 are a more balanced musical speaker overall. They are forward as opposed the the laid back sound of the LSis, which might work better for your space.
Also the bass is much better on the RC10s that the AV123 bookies, but you are looking at floorstanders...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

AV123's best price to performance value, IMHO was far and away the Onix Rockets.
I just never was impressed with their other stuff. It wasn't bad but there was better out there at the same price.
You know my recommendations though so I won't bore you with details.
I still think you will be pleasantly surprised with the Wharfedales."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

The ELT-525's were being closed out for $99 pair, so I bought a set and upgraded the x-overs with Mills resistors and Clarity Caps. Fantastic little set of monitors, especially for the desktop. They aren't at the level of my Epos ELS-3's, but very nice and smooth just the same.DKG999
