polk 80f/x RT as back surrounds?

anyone have any experience using the 80f/x RT as back surrounds (i.e. 7.1)? in setup guides I've read it states the back surrounds should be direct firing, my understanding is that these aren't direct firing.

Any comments/advice would be greatly appreciated

    well i bit the bullet... bought the second set of 80f/x rt's to complete my 7.1 setup. Wasn't to sure what to expect, all i can say is wow. Really impressed with the performance of the in ceiling speakers.
