Still upgrading

I am continuing to modify and upgrade my system.
Current system now consists of;

1.) Yamaha RX-V667 receiver, with

2.) RTi-6A's & R50's for the front mains.

3.) FX500i's for surrounds.

4.) TSi100's for the rears and,

5.) 2 subs PSW10 and PSW111, finish it off.

I have been looking to get a different receiver with an internet capability. Maybe get RTi12's for the mains. Moving the RTi-6A's to the rear. Then put putting the RX-V667, the R50's and TSi100's along with one of the sub's in zone 2.

My questions are;
1.) What receiver to get that will match the speaker configuration and,

2.) Should I get a different speaker then the RTi12's?.

3.) And finally, I want to match the sub's. So which should I match?. They both do the job well.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

    What's your budget? What music to HT ratio? I had a RX-V667 once, was a bright and fatiguing AVR for music. Okay for HT though.

    Do you like the sound of your current RTiA6 and RX-V667 setup for music?

    I have to wonder, though, if you answer yes is that because you haven't heard much else?

    If you have your heart set on the RTI 12'S, you'll most likely need an amplifier to drive them as mid line receivers won't do them justice.

    Make sure whatever receiver you get has preouts to add an amp down the road should a good price on 12's show their face.

    Subs....look outside of Polk and go SVS or HSU, as big as you can afford. Either one will outperform both of those subs you have now.

    What's your split on theater/music use? I have the 12's in the theater but prefer the LSiM series for my music listening.
    And, as stated, what have your heard that you like? You can always upgrade and it may sound better at first, but then you'll want to upgrade again.
    Not a bad thing, just the path many of us have followed.
    There are plenty of options for upgrading, you need to know what problem you're trying to solve/what you're trying to accomplish then the team here is pretty awesome at pointing you in the right direction.

    If you are continually upgrading speakers then you need to plan a bit before you buy another speaker. I know the upgraditis itch is strong but resist it if you can. What is your goal in upgrading? What are you trying to improve? Besides having too many varying speaker families in your setup, what is your motivation for upgrading?

    TRY and TRY to listen to someone's speaker system to make sure you like the upgrade. RTi12's are large. Many people like them and many do not, for different reasons. If you buy them it may be difficult to resell them due to their size. So be sure that is the direction you want to go.

    Experimenting with different speakers can be fun too. But then experimenting around here means trying something other than Polk. The Polk product lines are pretty understood by most on how they sound. It's not really new ground.

    As others have mentioned, if using an AVR try to get something with pre-outs so you can be more flexible in the future.
