Really digging the grove of his music.
I don't have any yet.
Want to get the ultimate collection CD unless anyone knows of another to get for starters.

There is no bad JLH, it is all good. The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

Thanks,
That version of boom boom on the blues brothers movie he sang and kicks it up a notch saying "hey, hey" brought up the hairs on my neck. -
I highly recommend: "Chill Out", "Don't Look Back" and "The Healer". But, as @motorhead43026 said, it's all good! An older title that I really enjoy is a collaborative effort featuring, among many others, a very young Steve Miller titled "Endless Boogie". Enjoy!

Mr. Lucky is perhaps my favorite, with The Healer and Don't Look Back close behind. Carlos Santana was pushing a revival in the decade before his death and why not, one of the most under-appreciated musicians in memory prior to that. I saw him in the late 70's in Berkeley and there were MAYBE 20 people in the place. Carlos and John Lee played a few late night TV appearances in the years prior to his death and they're also great to view on You Tube. Anyway, Mr. Lucky has many guest stars, including Santana, Keith Richards, Robert Cray, etc. etc. The Healer also, with Van Morrison and others. I like the older stuff too but especially Mr. Lucky and The Healer capitalize on those guest musicians, which give him a "super" band behind him. Having Carlos Santana as a backup musician is a real bonus. He loved John Lee.

Another one I really like is Serves You Right To Suffer, from 1966 (but reissued.) I have a SACD and it sounds absolutely great. Fabulous backup musicians, eight songs of top shelf blues.
Some other musicians on The Healer and Mr. Lucky (1989 and 1991 respectively) were Bonnie Raitt, Charlie Musslewhite, George Thorogood, Los Lobos (The Healer) and Johnny Winter, John Hammond, Ry Cooder (Mr. Lucky)
