CSi A6 Center Channel - set to small or large?

Hi everyone,

My receiver has a very basic, stripped-down version of Audyssey which I ran for the first time with my new setup the other night. After the test tones were played and measured, the setup had my Polk CSi A6 center speaker set to 'Large' which I wasn't expecting. Granted, I do not have any subwoofer yet, but I do have some large vintage Polk SDA 2B's for my fronts so of course they were set to Large. I had kinda expected that the center and surrounds would be set to 'small'. If you're familiar with the CSi A6, what do you think, should I leave it set to 'Large'? It's a pretty good-sized speaker, but I figured my SDAs would handle all of the 'heavy lifting' by themselves.

Thanks,
Greg

FWIW, I was in a similar position a couple of days ago when I added a power amp to the mix.

Every time I run the auto calibration on my yamaha, it sets up all the speakers as large (even the surround RTi4s). I went to manual setup and started testing different configurations. Eventually found, I liked front Left and Right set as large and center and surrounds as small.

    My current setup is:
    Fronts: RTi8s set as large
    Center: CSi5 set as small
    Surrounds: RTi4s set as small
    Sub: Crossed at 80 Hz.

I agree with the Italian, check out the difference settings until you're happy with what you hear.

    Cheers
