Monitor 5A resistors, Custom Sonicaps, Misc crossover upgrade questions

I am finally getting around to ordering crossover upgrades for all but my SDA's. Mills and Sonicaps appear to be the preferred choices for all. M5A, M4A, M5jr & jr+.

The M5A's have a 2.5Ω resistor. Should I go with a 5W 2.5, 10W 2.4, or a Vishay Mills 12W 2.5? The other resistor is a 10W 2.7 Mills. I thought a 5W 2.5Ω Mills was recommended, but I can't find that post.

For custom Sonicaps do you contact them first, then place your order, or can you place an order, and then contact them referencing your order number. I'd like to put everything in one order and one shipment. I need 13.5µF for the 5jrs.

Fuses: I plan to eliminate the polyswitches, on the 5jr's but I would like to replace it with a fuse as just in case protection. The stock resistors are 1.0Ω, and should be increased to 1.2Ω, vs 1.4Ω (since 1.3Ω is not available). Correct?

Solder: Was the original solder lead free? I am thinking it was not. Cardas solder was recommend, but it is leaded. Is there any advantage to leaded? Are there temperature issues? Can leaded and unleaded be mixed, leaded de-soldered and then unleaded used? I have two low watt irons that have worked fine for most small stuff, and not so important audio gear. I also have some electronics grade lead free that I think has x% silver. Is that fine? Should I (borrow) a temperature controlled iron? If I borrow the iron, it has to be lead free solder, and can't touch lead. I might be able to get my hands on a leaded temperature controlled one if needed.
