Onkyo trade in program

4/20/16 has anybody recently used the onkyo trade up program are the receivers their trading you for do they work well or are you getting somebody else's garbage I recently sent in my TX Sr 608 for a TXNR 747 did I make a mistake

Not necessarily. If it has the features you want and sounds good to you. However, the 7xx series isn't as robust as it used to be, but neither us the 6xx or 8xx. Many modern avrs have become reliant on software for decent sound and the onkyos at that level is no exception. Trust your ears.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world.
