Threshold amps

I've posted about Threshold amps before. I still own the serviced Threshold CAS-2 (the only one I've ever seen thus far) and love it. I hooked it up last week after storing for some time to the Axiom M80s I picked up and it sounds magnificent.

Yesterday I found the opportunity to get some more Threshold amps. There are two to choose from - a 400A and a 4000A. I did my own research, however I'd like to see if anyone else has experience with them? They're both going to be serviced prior to taking possession, but I get to choose one.

Speakers I'm going to use them on will vary wildly so there is no target. I'm in a buyers market right now and honestly need to sell off a good chunk.

Thanks for the input.

Be sure and get the Threshold models from when Nelson Pass was still part owner. Many later amps, after he sold his share, aren't quite as good as the early stuff. I used to know which ones, but I have forgotten. I'm sure the info is on the web.

Welp..... since the Threshold has to go to service (both) already, my dealer is substituting them with a full set of these for now. In the end I'll own both, but since it might be 6 months out on repairs I needed something to show for all the investment.

Oooh, I've always wondered about that Onkyo. Almost went for one when I was on my vintage obsession a year or so ago.
    I disabled signatures.

Don't have any of them yet... looks like they're all going to service.
