Klipsch La Scala K -33-B reconed and pushing some good air!
While back the original 36 year old K -33-B speaker out of my La Scala's bit the dust and I replaced it with an new original Klipsch K-33-E direct from Klipsch. (K-33-E is the current 15" woofer Klipsch uses in the La Scala)
I had been wondering what a recone would sound like on the B so I got it done this week from FAB Audio in Scarborough, Ontario. I installed it this afternoon and very happy with the sound.
Running some Neil Young/Crazy Horse through them and it's sounding great. Will keep the K-33-E as a spare.
The La Scala's have rear facing 15" woofers.

Yeah I really like the sound so they are keepers for sure. Figured I'd try and keep them as original as time will let me and that is why I decided on the recone.
