I'm looking to upgrade the power cables with my receiver and power amp. I have a Yamaha RX-A1000 receiver and a Parasound HCA 1205A power amp. I can get either cable for around $120 (1.5 meter length). Any recommendations? (I use the system approximately 60% home theater, 40% music, and I have a pair of Paradigm 11seMkIII's for fronts, a Paradigm CC450 for a center, and Polk Audio Rti6's for surrounds, and a Paradigm SE sub.)

I use the Pangea ac9's on Parasound2250 & Acurus200/3 amps with good results. Beware you need at least 5-6+ inches of space. They dont bend easy. Like fighting with a big ars snake..

I started with Pangea cables on my source gear, and then tried a Venom on my Cambridge Audio 840W amps. While the Pangea did make a slight improvement, the Venoms made me sit up. A week or two later I thought if a $100 cable can do this, then what can a $1000 cable do. After that I haven't looked back, and went 100% Shunyata.

I'm using a Pangea AC-9 on my parasound 1200ii amp. might have to give one of those Shunyata pc a try.

The cables that I have been looking at have three slots at the source end. The stock cable that came with my receiver has only two slots at the source end. Is it safe to replace the stock cable with a cable that has three slots at the source end? Is it necessary to do any mods?
