MONITOR 7-B BASS RESPONSE IN NEW REPLACEMENT WOOFER

Need some guidance. I have had a pair of early release Monitor 7-b'S since 1985. One of the woofers blew and was replaced. The issue is that since I have upgraded my receiver to an HK 3490, the very low bass response is much greater in the replaced woofer. Part numbers are original woofer MW-6500—replacement MW-6200. The question is should I replace the MW-6500 and will this resolve the bass response issue?

You need to find another MW-6500 and replace the 6200. Keep it original because the x-over was designed for that woofer. I think if you call POLK they still have these or you can try EBay.Polk S10, S8, S4

Also the replacement driver for the MW-6500 is MW-6503. It needs to be 8 ohm.Polk S10, S8, S4
