Ahhh, get rid of the stack of boxes, the stands have arrived :)
This set up is temporary, soon, we'll move from this sweet little bach pad and into a family home.............hopefully complete with enough room to separate video from audio if you catch my meaning
The stands are heavier than I expected and will be filled with shot or sand once we've relocated. They come with "cable management" but I found it to be kinda weak, so I opted not to install said management system, and reached for my trusty zip ties.
So yeah, since I've started this whole venture of the electronic plunge, my percentage has shifted from an original 80/20 (video/audio) to a 40/60
I wonder how many are going to tell me my center channel is not centered haha

Lookin' great Geoff! I like the way the 703's look on those SF's.
I skipped the cable management, too, and I use these Velcro ties, fuzzy side out. 6 doh-lar-ez for 100.

I have a big center, too. You ever considered putting it on a stand out in front?I disabled signatures. -
When music starts sounding so good, movies are not as enticing. Congrats in the good looking setup.
When this happens its advisable to get a nice projector and a 100+" screen to try to balance out the enjoyment of the entertainment factors -
Looks very nice...I'm sure it sounds just as awesome..Enjoy!Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

Why do you have a center channel?

Poor guy's gonna think we are picking on him. I've brought up that center channel before but he claims it's not in the way.
Just a suggestion, on the floor in front of the amps on a short stand tilted up....might be your ticket.HT SYSTEM-

My screen goes up and down ,and I don't mind moving my speakers in and out a couple of feet to match conditions [like my stereo, now that I got it I'd hate to live without it]

Great stands. I also have a pair of them with my 703's. When you get around to putting shot or sand I drilled the hole bigger under the top plate so the sand would go in faster.Anaheim Hills CA,

What the heck man, I'm unable to use the "quote" feature?!?!
Tony, no worries, I knew I'd get crap about the center and it's easy to see it's all in jest. Posting on this forum has taught me not to be so thin skinned
It cracks me up about the TV blocking. It's close, but it doesn't block unless you're on the floor, which no one's old **** in this house can stand sitting on the floor for the length of a movie anyway.
The camera angles are tricky, even as I look at the shots, it looks like the 703's are slightly recessed next to the A9's, trust me, they are flush, I don't want any reflections there.
I've had the center mounted above the panel and down on the floor in various set ups. This is working fine, in fact, I'll have Mr. Brydson verify it for me next time he visits which is coming up pretty soon.
GCE, good call on enlarging the fill hole, I believe I had read that suggestion in an earlier post on another thread, no doubt that is my intention, I don't want to spend a whole day filling up four tubes with shot/sand
Thanks for the comments guys, and the pokes! It does sound pretty great but it's not a huge leap over the A9's for 2ch though I trust that will change some over time.

Associated gear will take the 703 to new levels. It's just time slot start building them up for music.
Agreed, I'll wait to get a separate room. I have all the makings for a the start of a separate set up, I'll tweak from there.

Ps you know I was giving you crap just to give you crap right he heheheh....
I also don't think that foam is symmetrical on both sides and I think you odd numbered quantity of amps is wrong so you need to buy another to even it up.

Nope... there is never enough to make me happy ...
But in all TRUE HONESTY, I am happy for you, both for where are you are in your audio journey, but MUCH more importantly, where you are in your FAMILY situation.
Nothing but peace love and good vibes your way brother!

Thanks brother!!! You know, it's coming up on a year already in July since we've been back together!!!
And so now, we're looking to be out of my little place and into larger here by at least a couple more months, oh and don't worry, if we end up with any place like we're going to look at tomorrow, I'll have plenty of space to install and activate both Empires................my gosh man, it's been way to long to have gone without some big boom bass!!!
In fact my wife was telling me tonight, "I'll be so happy for you to have your own space for your stuff"
I just laughed and said, "yeah, happy that you won't have to see it all the time"
This place we're looking at tomorrow has a decent cave down stairs called a "bonus" room, also known as an "H.T." room. It also has a bedroom downstairs, also known as a "2ch" room.
The basement is 60% below the ground surface, so neighbors won't be affected by the LFE's, just the rest of the house
Plus the lots are all over a 3rd of an acre so there's some good space between the homes. Really hoping we get into this one.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2
