Just received a pair of Monitor 10B speakers that I bought on eBay. When I hooked them up to my Marantz 2230, I can't get any base out of them. I've checked the wiring several times and they appear to be in phase. What can I check?

Are any of the midwoofers frozen?
Gently press on the passive radiators, how long does it take for the midwoofer to recede?
Check that the internal wiring is in phase.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

I'll check the internal wiring tomorrow, it appears that one mid woofer isn't working.

Could alway swap the bad woofer from 1 cabinet to the other cabinet. If it follows-you know its the woofer. Just a thought..

Thanks, I'll try that.

I can't get any base out of them.
Could be because they don't have base, they have bass.Political Correctness'.........defined
