I just bought a set of Monitor 10B and after hooking them up to my Marantz 2230 I can,t get any base out of them. Is there something simple to check?

Sounds like frozen mid drivers. I would check to see if they are locked up from magnet shift. You can press the center of the passive radiator and watch to see if the mids extend. If not then I would try pressing on the mids to see if they move freely.

I pressed the center of the passive radiator and the mids didn't extend but they seem to move freely.

Are any of the rubber surrounds torn?afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

No, they're not torn at all. They supposably worked before they were shipped from New York to Arkansas.

You press on the midwoofers and they all move freely? No scratching noises or anything frozen stiff? All four?afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Now when I press on them, one is stiff and not moving very free. It doesn't appear to be playing but now when I press on the center of the passive it extends a little but it's the only one.
