Polk RtiA7

I am using am Emotiva UPA 500 which pumps 80 watts @ 8 watts in my Polk Rtia7 speakers. The Speakers are rated 300 watts. I saw a Wyred 2 channel amp which pumps 125 watts into 8 ohms. Is the power enough to drive the Polks? And how to i bi-amp it to my Arcam AVP700 preamp ..Any help will be appreciated

The only aspect of the speaker wattage handling you need to be concerned with is the minimum rating. For example, if it says 50 watts minimum you need an amp that's at least 50wpc. On the other hand you're much more likely to damage the speakers from clipping with a 50wpc amp than causing any damage using a 500wpc amp.

    The Wyred4Sound will be fine.

Forget you ever thought about bi-amping. Real bi-amping requires active crossovers and multiple amps.

    You are welcome.

Just throwing this out.....I firmly believe you will find the Wyred4Sound amp to sound better than your current one. That said, since you have an Arcam pre/pro why not get an Arcam amp? As I'm sure you already know, Arcam makes very good, musical sounding gear.
