Reciever cutting off

Can anyone tell me what is going on? Here is my problem: I have Polk SDA II's hooked up to a Yamaha VX-800 reciever. I am using the polk's mainly for home theater and everything was working great until I hooked my interconnect between my two mains up....Now when I try to watch a movie with this interconnect hooked up, my reciever trips and goes out. I took my interconnect off and it works fine again...Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Are the SDA's not good for home theater? Thanks for helping.

    Mossey I'm not an SDA owner but in pryer post there was mention of an adaptor which was needed in some cases. IMO you should call Ken S. at Polk tech and talk to him before you really mess up your speakers SDA crossver or your receiver.
