Can only ask one question.....Part1

My supervisor is having us travel for a team meeting at the end of the month. Looks like she has planned an activity for our amusement and I thought I would share it here just to see what kind of responses would be given by this colorful group of characters.
Basically there are 4 "activities" and for each activity there is a person applying for that activity. You have the chance to ask only 1 question of the applicant to determine if they are suitable for the activity.
So the first activity is: Getting married
My initial response to this was...Are you sure you want to do this? but since this can answered as a closed end question with a simple yes or no response I will rephrase it to Why do you want to do this?
What say you?

Out of all the billion people on earth, tell me how you know this person you are about to marry is the "one"

Baring any religious or tax implications, and with the knowledge of the high rate of divorce among couples, and the lack of a social stigma surrounding children out of wedlock, why get married instead of keeping your current arrangement, or just living together with or without children?"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963)

My advice....get sick right before the team outing. Unless your team really likes each other....come down with scurvy or some other obscure illness.Post edited by kevhed72 on

Your supervisor is an idiot. The best way to predict the future is to invent it.
It is imperative that we recognize that an opinion is not a fact. -

It doesnt sound like a team building activity at all. It may just be a start of opinionated view of each other once the proposed activity is complete. Just skip it if you can.Sony BDP-S6500 | Raspberry Pi 2 | XBOX One S | Wii --> Yamaha RX-V667 --> Adcom 5006 bridged to 175 watts for front LCR -- >Front: Polk Audio RTi8s | Center: CSi5 | Side Surrounds: RTi4s | Rear surrounds: FXiA4s | Cheap 12" sub woofer|Samsung UN60KU6300

Your question to ask should be how many people have told you they are happily married and have the perfect marriage if thier reply is a few your response should be they are liars. Except me I'm the perfect example of one that has a perfect marriage, (call me a liar)motorhead43026 wrote: »Your supervisor is an idiot.

That there is an answer...not a question but it makes sense to me . Strange, but somehow I thought there would be some humorous responses.Yep, my name really is Bob.
