How important is the USB output level?

I am trying to run my music from my PC to my Parasound P5. Should I max the output from the PC?

    In a word, yes....but I'd back it off a couple ticks from 100%. Sometimes at full bore they introduce a lot of noise into the signal.

    I run 100%. Some albums I lower it to about 75%. Benchmark recommends 100.
