CSI40 or CS400I
Circuit City has a brand new CSI40 Center for $299. and a $30 mail in gift card. I have a CS400i that I got off Ebay for a reasonabl price and have ordered a crossover for it.
Should I get the CSI40 and sell the other one after it is fixed or keep the CS400I. One would be out of warrantity and the other one would be brand new.
Both of these centers should be a good match with my Monitor 10s and r25 rears. Which has the better sound? I like the looks of the Cs400i over the CSI40. I have not be able to really hear either of them. Thanks for your help.

A good friend of mine has the CS400i, and I have the CSi40. I got mine NIB for $169.99 at CC. It was on sale for $199.99 and the salesman gave me a $30.00 discount on it because I was buying so many speakers. They sound very similar, but to me, the 400 is a bit edgier. Not really brighter, maybe "sharp" would be a good word. Keep in mind I am used to the 40. It's probably the difference in the silk-dome (40) and the tri-lam (400) tweeters.
If you already have the CS400i, I don't think I would spend the money for the CSi40. The are both good centers. If going to the CSi40 is something you really want to do, do it now. The 40's are getting very hard to find.Go BIG or go home!
