The lithium ion battery in my Lenovo T430 laptop is getting tired.
I looked at the Lenovo direct replacement price & it was predictably high.
I was wondering whether anyone here had a recommendation for a reputable vendor of a high-quality replacement battery for this 'pute?
I am leery of off-brands (for probably obvious reasons!) but I'm also leery of third-party vendors who claim to sell genuine Lenovo, brand new batteries at a considerable discount compared to Lenovo's price! I am a skeptical m o f o. :-P
I figured folks here might have relevant experience and be in a position to recommend a good, cost effective source.
Thanks as always for your attention & any suggestions!

FWIW, I bought two laptop batteries last year from Battdepot.com, yes they were aftermarket but I have not had a single issue yet, on my HP or my daughters' Toshiba.
Both of the batteries with shipping cost less than $60, again take that with a grain of salt as they are not OEM batteries.

Glad you brought this up Doc, with all the scare recently about lithium batteries in some of the hoverboards sold last Christmas catching fire and all. You make a good point about being leery of the off brand batteries. I would be a bit leery too. I've had a laptop computer for about 5 years now and never use it on battery power. Just wonder it they eventually just go bad being dorment?

I took a chance and snagged some off brand via amazon. The reviews over there are nutts and the reviews were having folks say the battery arrived dead or lasted 2 hours. I took a chance and my battery cost $15 and is great and I saved $40, stay tuned for a crotch fire laptop thread!
