I found a very nice addition to my Polk speaker array, namely a vintage Cambridge Sound Works 12" sub (with slave sub outputs).
This thing's about the size of a small refridgerator and will be deliovered on Monday.
I had my heart set on finding another Dahlquist DW1, but they have become rather rare and expensive since I had the last one gifted to me.
(the dumbest thing I ever did is give that one away)
Can't wait to get it hooked up (though my neighbors probably can)

Neighbors need some quality sound too. It's your job to show them the way.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.

If anyone finds one of these Cambridge SoundWork Subs, definately buy it !
It is without a doubt the finest sounding sub I've ever owned (even beats my Dahlquist)

and how often you using your VHS?

The cabinet measures 26h x 16w x 10d .
I believe it's a 150 watt amp, but I have it set on about 1, with the roll off at 50 Hz. (that's with 4 Polk Monitor 5's)
I've been trying for the last year or so to get a 10" ported sub to sound good with my Polks, but have come to the conclusion that a big sealed cabinet, with at least a 12" woofer is the way to go.
Yes that is a VHS player.
I need something to watch my Planet Of The Apes tape box set with (Heh heh)............that and some old concert tapes, that I just can't throw out yet.
