In-ceiling surrounds to match SDA fronts

Hi, I have some vintage Polk speakers (SDA 2B) for my mains, and I'm now looking to add speakers for a theater setup. From Polk's current line, it has been suggested that I go with a CSi A6 for the center speaker (or a CS400 if I want to get something used). I'm now seeking advice for the surrounds. Because of my room, I will need to go with in-ceiling speakers. Is there anything in Polk's current line that would be a good match with the SDAs that I currently have?

Thank you,
Greg

I would go with a cs400 (or 400i) for the center, not the csi a6. As for surrounds, I personally do not think that matching matters as much unless your playing a lot of high-def surround channel music (blu ray concerts, sacds and DVD-As). So I think anything from polks current lineup would be pretty solid. If you really want to match, you will have to try to find used or NOS surrounds that match the cs400i. You might have to ask customer service what those are...

  • I used an A6 with my SDA=SRS and it was great and I had tried 3 others.

  • I'm using the vintage FX1000 which seem to be a perfect match in timbre. Never looked back! Of course they are on the wall not in ceiling speakers.
