binding post nuts on cs400i

Anyone have trouble with these loosening up? I traced a sound problem back to the lower set (no wires attached) of binding post nuts had vibrated loose, causing the jumper to not make contact with the post. Once tightened, problem solved. Anyone have any permanent solutions/thoughts?

Ya, some of us by pass the jumpers with short speaker wire runs in place of the jumper. It works great. Try it out. Later:cool:

thanks for the insight! i will do this on all my polks...

What he said, anything but the stock jumpers....(this goes for any jumper I have come across, not just Polk)
When I had my RT800's, I ran Audioquest Sidewinders, banana terminated, and did a diy 'jumper' spade terminated from Carol Command wire sitting around... Without starting a wire debate, it did make a difference....

I originally thought about banana plugs- but all my polks (cs400i, rt800i, fx500i) don't seem to accept them even though they are referred to as "5 way binding posts". Am I supposed to drill out the plastic nuts?

What the heck are you talking about? The little plastic plugs in the banana slot pop out, or you can unscrew the nut for spades/bare wire.....
