I know, a long shot but I thought I'd throw these up here in case someone local wants them.

These are about 1 1/2 years old with aprox. 15K miles on them. Rotated every 3500 miles. These still have a lot of life left in them, no unusual wear patterns, no bulges or sidewall issues. Still look new

Size: 225/45R17
Sidewall Style: Blackwall
Load Range: XL
Serv. Desc: 94W
UTQG: 420 AA A

40,000 mile tire.

These are too nice and have too much life left to just throw away.

Obviously local pick up, cash and carry. $140 for a set of 4

Some stock photo's.

    Volkswagen GTi.

The optional 18" package is 225/40R18 -- our roads here in the Midwest are punishing enough on 45-17's.

I had a couple Scirocco's, MK-I's back in the day. Never owned a MKII 16v. After the Scirocco's it has been mainly GTi's with a GLI thrown in there. MK-I, MKII, MKIII VR6, currently an MKV soon to be a MKVII.

I drove a Wolfsburg Fox when I was first starting to turn my life around. I didn't care for that car much but it was cheap.

The Fox was supposed to be an entry level economy car. It was not a typical Volkswagen. It was really, really cheap and it showed. My girlfriend at the time bought a brand new Wolfsburg Edition Fox.

You never know what people are in the market for.

I've run Kuhmo's before they are an "off" brand tire, well established (made in Korea). A bit more economically priced. A decent tire for a decent price. Many house brand tires are made by the majors, just with different branding.

The Ecsta line has a long history of providing very good performance at a very good price. A good bang for the buck tire company.

    There, now you know

Kumhos sell like crazy down here in Houston at Discount Tires stores. The Ecsta line is very popular with those folks into a high performance tire. The Ecsta 4X line is much higher rated than the Solus line I had. This is a sweet deal on the price.

I had the exact same tire on my Saab 9-5 Aero Wagon. Really nice tire and a great price for a set of four.

Eventually I'll throw them up on the Vortex, a VW Audi board. The price will be higher there. This is the Polkie price. Again, not really expecting them to sell on an audio board, but you never know....lol
