What size hurricane nuts are best for use on 3.1TL's

During mods on my TL's I found that a number of screws holding the speaker to the baffle were very loose. None of these speakers had ever been removed before. I assume because of vibration they loosened. The screws will not tighten up anymore and the MDF is stripped out. Since at this time my budget will not allow me for Larry's rings I would like to use Hurricane nuts but am really unsure of what size to get. Which have you used with satisfaction? Choices are 1/4 -20, 8-32, or 10/32. I really would like to know before ordering. My plan is to use epoxy around the barrel upon installation to keep them from spinning if I have to remove the speaker again in the future.
Thoughts?

Put the epoxy on the flared base, not the barrel otherwise you risk getting it in the threads. After drilling out the exsiting holes, use a cap screw with a washer to draw each nut in. This is best done by hand as a power driver increases the chance of spinning the nut by a large margin.
