I've been thinking of replacing the floor spikes that came with the 70's myself. Did your new floor spikes just screw into the existing slots or did you have to modify them. Oh yeah, where can you get new floor spikes like yours.

after some research from me and a member here, found that these came with a set of Monitor audio speakers, 2k a apair...
these came in a case, with tools, a wipe cloth and all the spikes and caps.. I have seen these similiar spiked on e-bay real cheap. Im sure High end online stores sell them also. These screwed right in, however only about 1/4" in which was plenty as they has a retainer nut that snugs up against the base plate.. I think polks are course thread and these i have are finer, but it screwed right in, then stopped.. But they seem to work/ fit ok...

Spikes are spikes....you might have adjustability in one, and not the other....but you get the idea.

Sweet looking spikes. Did you get them from partsexpress? I think I should buy some. They'd match very nicely with the woofers and logo on my RF-35.

I used these spikes on my DIY speaker stands. I think they were a bit cheaper than the oregon site... You can get them at Madisound they have a few different sizes.

Personally, the look of gold metal in any sort of living environment is out in my book. I'm all about something more along the lines of brushed metal to compliment my place.

    Personal taste thing and all......
