Can a A1-1 Interconnect be used in place of original supplied cable?

Lost the original cable and am using the A1-1 cable from when I Bi-amped my system. Will this set up be acceptable or cause ditortions or other issues?

Not only will it work, it'll sound better too.

Tip: wrap the transformer box in ten layers of tin foil to shield it from RF/EMI. No, I'm not kidding.

I never had a A1-1 but you know you can make a good cable using RCA's on both ends (remove the outer shells) and 12 gauge wire which would be doubled since only the "Pin" is active on the 3.1. The Rca's I got were from Mouser and the pin was split like a mandrel so they fit tight in the pin holes

  • Thanks everyone who answered. I really appreciate any input. Think I'll take the tip from F1NUT. Makes sense and I don't have to build a cable.
