LSIM 707 bought ...anyone know where to get the lsim 702 for a good price

Just got a pair of LSIM 707 of Polk eBay site for 2k. Wow they sound amazing. I also have the 706 center. Now all I need is the Lsim 702 for surrounds. Does anyone know where I can get a pair for a good price ? For the price I paid I am over the moon with these speakers. The bass is insane

Contemplating selling mine and they are in great shape except for the scratches on the back from hanging them.

The best deal I ever seen on those was a CL posting out West for $300. You won't see that again for some years....but used is going to be the best deal.

Hey would you mind checking the impedance from the 707 and and 706? I just ordered today a set of the 707 along with the 706 and a pair of the 703. I am trying to decide on an amplifier for them and that is why I am curious. My suspicion is that the 707 may read at close to 4ohm when not biamping them. Or are they 16ohms when bi amping?

You cannot simply check the nominal impedance of a speaker with a DVM. All that will tell you is the resistance.

Regardless, if you checked the specs, you'd see that the 707 is rated at 8 ohm nominal and it doesn't change with how you power them. However, it does change with frequency.

As for bi-amping. Unless you are using completely separate power amps, each with its own power supply AND using active crossovers you are not bi-amping.

I am using some 703's with my 705's as I thought they would be better for music or music concert on blu-ray and that was more important to me then movies. As the 703's sound really good on their own.

  • got all my stuff in, now just on the horn for a pair of 702 or 703, trying to decide. Have a parasound a51 on the way also, going to add a A21 too. I am very impressed with the quality of the polks. I can not wait until end of the year to break ground and get my theater room under way!! To much goodness to be stored in a closet.
