In 2014 when I bought my SDA-SRS 2's I had a Carver M-500(t) MKII obviously not using the speaker to its full potential.
I am now enjoying my SDA's with a Carver M-1.0(t) MKII Opt002
Last night I was listening to Earl Klugh and asked my wife if she knew where the sound came from, she pointed to the TV, I gave her a joking look and said that's impossible hon, the speakers are left and right there is no way that the sound be behind the TV!!
Indeed I was enjoing Earl Klugh and David Benoit bounce around my own living room. I love this SDA Stuff!!

I have to agree with you. The Carver M-1.0t MKII Opt002 seems to present a more true-to-life presentation than the Carver M-500t MKII. Everyone on the Carver forum says the M-500t is more musical but the M-1.0t has a greater sense of depth and dimension vs. the more upfront presentation I get with the M-500t. Glad to hear you and your spouse are enjoying the SDA/Carver combination.

If all she heard was coming from the middle, something is wrong.

If I remember your picture correctly you have the SDAs against a wall with a TV and stand out in front of the speakers by a bit plus a plastic fence. Ideally the speakers should clear your TV and stand by 2" and have nothing else obstructing the area between them and your seating position. What you'll hear is a massively wide soundstage. Sounds from the far left and right will extend beyond the edge of the speakers.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

I agree with nightfall, I have sda2s and its amazing what these speakers can do it sounds like the music is coming out of the left and right walls. One of the best audio purchases I have made so far.
