MFSL Launches TT's, Phono Stages and Carts

Interesting...

Will be interesting to see how these are reviewed once they are out. They seem to be billing them as entry level accessible products, but are they a real value? Or a $300 TT with a $999 MOFI price tag...

The $1k model looks interesting. I wonder how it will compare to its VPI and Clearaudio competition.

Looks like they are solidly designed products.

Certainly above the $300 entry level tables. But hard to say how they will stack up against something like the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon's/Esprit's, let alone the massive amounts of tables at your disposal at $1,000-$1,700.

I'm interested in the new LP pressing system!
  • Styling cues are nice, but still seem plain for the price point. Tables above $1k entering this crowded market need to set themselves apart visually unless they are superior performers.

I agree and I guess that's more or less what I meant. Will it essentially perform similar to a Debut, but get a 1K price tag because of the name?

I feel this is like a really nice restaurant that gets it's own house brand line of wines. If I'm going to be at that restaurant in the first place, and even if it's my favorite restaurant...I'm going to buy a wine that I know is from a reputable wine maker...not the house brand line.

This is all IMO of course...

I read that the guy that designed these tables is a respected TT designer and has made some $20k plus tables.
