Like, how long does it take
What colors are most likley to cause it
Can it be reversed
What signals (Coax, SVid, Component) are the worst offenders

any help would be great

By burn in . I assume you mean your television? Burn it can happen easier with a projection TV that are so popular right now. I won't ever buy a projection TV till they look as good as an old fashioned tube type tv. which I think is still years away. IMHO
Anyway, I hope this is what you mean. "burn in" can occour when the whites are turned up way to high on a television. either projection or tube type. Todays TV's can and do handle burn in much better than past ones.

Normal TV viewing will not cause burn in.. because the images are changing all the time. But having the whites turned up on your tv to high.. will cause the tube to have a shorter lifespan.

DVD had taught us that we don't need to turn up the brightness on our TV's as much as we thought we did. about 80 % of us have our TV's brightness turned up to high.. or higher than it needs to be. Get a DVD set up disc and set up your tv and home theater. It may seem dark.. but the blacks will be true black and not some shade of gray.

Some video games will also cause burn in if left in pause for to long.. thats why some have screen savers. As for a fix.. call your local TV shop and see what they say. It may be reverable, and then again it may not. As for how long it takes.. I'd rather not find out.. it's to expensive to find out.
Always turn off your TV when not in use.. it saves power and it will last longer.

Any channels which keep their logo on the bottom of the picture especially MSMBC will cause more burning of the phosphorus. If you watch mainly DVDs with widescreen in time the black will cause burning. Anything left on pause for long periods of time will. The thing is it takes a lot of time for this to happen, unless you keep anything(DVD, games etc.) on pause frequently. I have a 10 year old Trinitron in the kitchen which is showing signs, mostly bright colors and black aren't like they used to be. I wouldn't worry about it.

The reason i ask is, I have a 65" Mitsu HDTV that I've had for about a week and already there is a small area in the lower right corner where there is some slight burn in (Obi-Wan on the X-Box was the offender) The weird thing is is that not only has the game never been left on pause with the tv on, but there are more then 20 games that have also been played on the set the same amount that show no signs. The area that has burned in is displaye in white. Luckily it is only noticable if you stare for a while at the same spot with the screen totally white or gray, otherwise it can't be seen.

    What a bummer though :(:(

I would return the tv, if you have only had less than a month and it is doing that sounds like a problem.
also the levels might be real high. I used the avia guide and decreased my levels quite a bit. as said b4 it is better for your tv
