Today's quixotic quest -- looking for a pair of 4" TangBand 'fullrange' drivers (that I KNOW are around here... someplace).
No sign of those, BUT I did find a little manila envelope, from Gary Kaufman, containing a 5V4 and a pair of... 6SU7s.
6SU7s, eh? Nice lookin' tubes...
Turns out, the 6SU7 is a 6SL7 variant, with matched triode sections.
Gary must've passed them along to me when I was lookin' for 6SL7s for my JE Labs "Simple 2A3" SET amp.
Hmm, gonna have to plug 'em in there and give 'em a whirl...
Now -- if any of youse guyses know where those TangBands might be, let me know, 'K?

I like tang. Smooth tang. Such a pleasant sound.
