So how good is Polk customer service...
My remote stopped working so contacted them on 12/21 then on 12/31 I was assigned to Michael M case #00071338
Have not heard a peep out of CS and its now 1/24

I'll forward this directly to Polk's CS department, however I'm not sure where they will be back open due to the recent snow storm. Hang in there, I'm sure they'll take care of it as soon as possible.

I hate to say this, but I don't think their remotes are of very good quality. However, most of the remote's function is gimmicky. Why not just setup the sub with the back panel controls and your receiver and forget about the remote? It's definitely a decent subwoofer. I just don't see the need for a remote in the first place.
