Using an SDA-2B 12" Passive in a RTA-12B - Interchangeable?

I have a pair of RTA-12B's that I have had for sometime. The individual that I purchased them from many years ago had cats that clawed up the center foam portion of the 12" passive radiator (drone), it is still fully functional since the surround was not touched. I just purchased an SDA-2B 12" passive since the speakers are vitually identical with the 2B cabinet being a bit larger since the tweeter is inside vs. top mounted. I am hoping they are weighted similarly and are interchangeable. It's purely from an aesthetic point of view that I am changing it. They obviously carry different part numbers. Anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I do believe they are the exact same PR.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Should be OK. I have used sw120 & sw121 or 2 the only difference is the front is not foam and it has a bolt for weight. I couldn't tell a difference. Mine with the foam sw120 had a very severe bubble problem.

Thanks, I pulled one of mine out and compared it to the photos of the one I bought and they look identical. Excellent.

If the baskets are identical you could weigh them to check for differences.
