KARMA - Outlaw 1050 AVR - Needs Repair

I received this last year from Paul (@rooftop59). At the time, it had a couple channels not working, but the pre-outs worked fine. He sent it to me (for the price of shipping) to use as a pre for the Parasound I bought from him.
When I got it, all amped channels actually worked fine, and it functioned great using the pre-outs the first time I powered it on! However, the next day (the second day) I tried to power it on and heard a click and some quick static, and it would not power on. I checked the fuses and that was about the limits of my capabilities. It has sat unused since. It may be an easy fix, but I'm not capable of doing it. I'm sure someone here could get this up and running again. I hate to see such a well built receiver go to waste. Original remote included. I can't remember if the power cord is permanently attached, but if not, I will include a generic power cord.
Probably best for someone local to PA to pick it up near State College. I will also be in other areas of PA (Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, Indiana, and Easton) for work over the next two months and can meet someone.
We'll try this... First person who calls dibs for pickup gets it. Prefer an active member (let's say at least 6 months on the forum and at least 25 posts).
If no one local wants it by Monday, I'll open it up to shipping. I'd just ask for a small contribution to cover shipping (say the first $25 and I'll cover the difference). It is HEAVY and will likely run around $40 to ship. We'll do the 'pick a number between 1 and 100' - closest gets it.
If I get no takers by next Friday (1/29), I'll likely just post it for free in the local CL.
I hope to have some better karmas in the near future. This forum has been so good to me - time to 'pay it back'.
Thanks - Al

Thanks John. Hopefully someone could use this. I feel bad considering it a Karma since it's currently not working... but you never know with some of the handy folks around here!

The tinkerer in me really wants to pay for you to send it to me...
The new homeowner in me wants to work on our basement...
Good luck and no matter what, still a great karma."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."
"Unwad those panties and have a good time man. We're all here to help each other, no matter how it might appear." DSkip -
OK, no local takers. I'll give it until Friday if anyone wants to try their hand at tinkering with it... just pick a number. If no takers by Friday, I'll likely just take it to the recycling center, or give it to a local repair shop if they want it... I know this is a tough Karma considering the cost of shipping. I'll cover a little of the shipping cost if anyone thinks they can fix and put it to use.
I won't be heartbroken if nobody wants to get into this. I just wanted to offer it up here before I scrap it. -
OK, no takers... and that's completely understandable. I'm going to see if there's any place local that will take it. If by chance someone local missed this and still wants it, reach out to me and it's yours if I still have it. I promise my next Karma will be a better one!
