I'm going to regret this... But, I have too much gear and I'm starting to get 'the look' from the wife. That is the only reason for the reluctant sale. I really love this amp. It's the perfect size/sound/power, and for the price, you cannot do better. I've probably put 10-15 hours MAX on it in the time it was active in my 2-channel rig.
This was my first separate amplifier, and I'm somewhat sentimentally connected to it! I received this amp almost exactly one year ago from this thread:
http://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/164670/for-sale-parasound-hca-750a-175-shipped-and-paypaled/p1
It's not perfect, but in VERY nice, presentable condition - I'd say a conservative 7 or 8/10. I did clean the pots and tighten the circuit board screw (as directed by Parasound) and it has since performed flawlessly for me.
I gave Craig (@vcwatkins) first dibs as promised in the above thread, but he is passing. so here it is. I'm looking to get what I paid Paul.
$125 plus actual shipping & PP fees (or PP gift) Price is firm, since I really am struggling with letting it go... Buyer may be required to promise that I get first right of refusal if they ever decide to sell it!
Local pickup in Central PA (near State College) is welcome!
Thanks - Al

If you've never had an amp in your system and you're wanting to wake up your speakers, this is a very, very good place to start.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
Bump.
Thought this would get more love, but I guess most around here are into gear beyond this. -
Great amp here folks. Really not much difference between this and the HCA-1000. This will push all but the most demanding speakers in an average room and sounds warm and full doing it. If I had any need I would buy this back in a heartbeat!

Thanks Paul! Agree on the comparison to the HCA-1000. I picked up an HCA-1000A locally from CL a few months ago. Both sound great, but honestly, not much difference at all between the two. It's a toss-up on which to sell. Although the 1000 still sounds great, it may need a re-capping soon (some swelling on the tops of the caps starting) and I wouldn't feel right selling it that way.
Your offer to buy it back makes me rethink what I'm doing here... I'm probably going to want it back once it's gone too! -
Nice little amplifier, but don't think it's enough to power my LSiM 707's.
-
Jay - Yeah, I'm thinking those beauty's would thrive on more power!
It did great driving my (very efficient) Paradigm Studio 40s, but the 707s are in a different league!
Thanks for the bump!

Weekend bump. Nice amp here for the price of a dinner out. I have listed this for a lot more on CL...

Surely somebody wants needs this great little amp!
How about $140 to your door (UPS Ground - CONUS), $120 local pickup (Paypal gift)? That's the best I can do to part with this! -
Come on guys, you've been so good at helping me spend money before I have the funds... hoping to break that habit and sell something BEFORE buying something new to me this time!
Someone buy this... Great little amp here in very nice condition for $140 shipped! Had some nibbles locally, but nothing more than an email or two... -
Very interesting. Always wanted to try a Parasound. Will it drive my SDA 2B's well? I'm gonna be selling my Emo XPA-3 so I'll have a little cash to pay with.TV: 65" Samsung QLED 4K

I'm not sure... I don't know enough about the SDA 2B's to answer that with any sort of confidence... Maybe other members with more experience with SDAs can chime in?
I just did some listening again this weekend and had it side by side with the 1000A, and honestly, they sounded darn near identical. I didn't push the volume past 10 or 11 o'clock, but at those levels, they sounded the same.
Where are you located? If local or semi-local to Central PA, I'd gladly refund the money after you've had a chance to give it a good audition if you decide it's not enough to power your 2B's.

I've owned both and though I haven't done a side by side or even had them connected to the same speakers, I much prefer the Parasound.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
I just sold my 2b's with a Parasound 750a and it had no problem driving them. The Parasound is a lot smoother sounding amp than the Adcom. Imo2 Channel

I have never owned a 750 but I have had an Adcom 535 hooked up to 2A's and it did just fine. I would not hesitate using the 750.
