Opinions on the Krell SACD Standard, early model..

Looking at upgrading from my Pioneer Elite D9... I have zero experience with Krell as a brand and I only know the Pioneer and Marantz players. thanks for the advice.

    PM Wardsweb (Luther) he has one set up on one of his rigs. We did listen to it but not to the extent for comparison. I know they are built solid but Luther would be able to comment on comparisons.

    Go buy a used Cary 306 pro version, like Ray has....you won't regret it. I've seen them used for about 3500.

    Not to slight pioneer (even the elite series) but the Krell just has to be a large step up. Their amps are for sure. I would like to hear that as well.
