Interesting for sure. Neat concept. 800W rms.... I doubt that and they don't state the frequency response, unless I missed it.

Creative has been in the audio game a long time. Their Sound Blaster Live! sound card was incredibly popular when it came out.

Creative bought Cambridge SoundWorks from Henry Kloss a long, long time ago...
so they at least (at one time) had a clue about sound. I don't think they've kept a high profile in good-quality sound since the Soundblaster days, though, have they? I know nowadays I see lots of cheap Creative branded Bluetooth speakers, e.g.

All that said, I must be missing something in the present case -- the gizmo in the link provided in the first post looks like not much product for a lot of money to me.

Looks like the sound bar version of a 90s boombox. No one will ever pay the SRP of $5,000 for that. I'm sure Polk could use their SDA technology to do the same thing for much less. And it wouldn't be such an eyesore

Shipping and handling of $150??? Scam.

I remember the original sound blaster and and the talking parrot software lol. It was all about the SB AWE32 with 2 MB way back in the day...and then I had the AWE64 and then the Audigy 2zs platinum...yup I was all about having a sound card back in the day!

People pay that for Bose, they can sure try. Remember, lots of people think that just because it costs lots that it must be great!

A more expensive HTIB looks like. Todays yuppies want wireless and all in one solutions so I can see a market for it. Sound quality isn't high on the priority list for those same people.

Still is -- folks just call 'em DACs nowadays (and, not occasionally, pay far more for 'em)
