Wall mounts.
I've been researching a lot on speaker position for my new to me surround receiver. I'm using SDA 3.1's for the mains and a polk center, cannot remember the model, and an Acoustic Research sub. I have a Polk SWR 150 I might use too. Right now I have collected a few vintage models and a set of Fxi3's. At my disposal I have 2 sets of Monitor 4's a set of Monitor 5jr's, and a set of Monitor 7's. My ceilings are only about 8' high. I found these on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/VideoSecu-Clamping-Mounting-Surrounding-MS56B/dp/B000X9O8SI/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1452635602&sr=1-1 My plan is to use the Fxi3 for the side position and the Monitor 4's for the front presence, and either the Monitor 5's or 4's for the rears. Question is do you guys have any experience with these brackets or have a recommendation on a bracket for these speakers. I thought about putting the 7s up as the front presence but with the 3.1's being so tall and big they would be about at ceiling height and per Dolby directly above them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Glenn

I use very similar mounts for my RTi4 back surrounds and presence speakers. Very sturdy, but you may have to put a screw into the cabinet. Not sure how big the Monitor 5s are in comparison, but it seems to me that the 4s would serve the purpose. You don't really need big speakers outside of your mains and center, IMO, and the 4s should get the job done, I would think.

Also, I'm not completely well-versed on Dolby Atmos yet, but for presence speakers, Yamaha usually recommends they be mounted wider than your mains. Idk if Atmos has changed that.

I've got a 3030 so no Atmos there. I have seen where somewhere in my research that the front presence should be wider. Thanks for adding that. I'd rather not put a screw in them but we shall see when I get to that part.HT/2Channel: Emotiva MMC-1, Adcom GFA-555II, Polk SDA 3.1's, Teac TN-300 TT, Polk Center and Sub.
