Selling my very nice Harman Kardon A 505 60 watt /ch Twin Power intergrated amp. Thought I was going to use this but I need to stick with my 670 at this timeThis was HKs top iof the line integrated in 1978-79 and are sonewhat rare. The 505 and the 670 receiver version are considered some of HKs best efforts. . It is in excellent condtion and everything works as it should. The unit is in very nice shape and everything works as it should. Face plate has just a couple of very small scratches and one mark on the top edge. Controls are solid and clean. Produces a rich full sound with nice detail. Power output is a very underrated 60 watts per channel using HKs Twin Power design.
Features include. bass and treble with turnovers and a tone defeat, loudness, mode, high filter, low filter,
connections for 2 pairs of speakers, 2 tape decks, 2 aux (nice), phono, and pre amp out main in jacks with jumpers. Each channel is seperatly fused and there is a red light for each channel showing status
Asking $175 Thanks,keith

I'm thinking that the power amp section of this integrated amp is similar to the design used in the H-K Citation 19 power amp from that time? Discrete circuitry and separate transformers ,caps, transistors for each channel? Geppy is correct, H-K was always very conservative in their ratings for power output, I bet this thing easily __ has more than 60 watts rms per channel , plus they are very clean sounding amps. These are well made amps, surprised it's still for sale.
