Polk Audio PSW505 room size

I'm considering replacing my dead Velodyne VX-10 with a PSW505. However, I'm wondering if my HT room is too small to handle it. I've heard the PSW505 can overpower a small room. My HT room is approximately 13x13. I'm wondering if a 10" sub like the Klipsch K100-SW would be better for my room. I'd appreciate your thoughts about this. Thank you!

I just ordered a 505. Will be in a 12 x 15 room. I don't believe you can "overpower" a room. Just keep the "volume" down on the sub. I will be doing lots of tweaking once my sub shows up. You will be doing lots of tweaking as well with that "cube" of a room! You will have lots of peaks and valleys.Things are more like they are now than they ever will be!

I received my 505 last night. Hooked it up. Popped in Tron Legacy. Rattled stuff in the kitchen. 20 feet away in another part of the house. That was fun! So, overpowering? maybe? But, still cool!Things are more like they are now than they ever will be!
