Howdy all,
Just ordered new tweets and mids for my 2b's and are suppose to arrive tomorrow.
As I remember (not so clear, hiccup) from 10 years back, the mids DID NOT come clearly labelled as to positive and negative.
Do the ones nowadays come labelled?
If not, how can I be SURE, that I am putting them in correct phase?
Thanks in advance,
Dale

I just removed the drivers and found that in a "connectors down" configuration that the stereo drivers both were white wire to the right pin ( as you look at them ). By the wiring diagram, this is backwards. But the diagram does not show, for SURE, of a " connectors down" config.
Can someone clear this up for me? Also, the positive/negative config of the dimensional driver as well.
All help is welcome

When I ordered my replacement tweeter for my 2B recently, the Polk Tech Support person walked me through the proper connectivity for each driver even though I didn't need it. You may want to call Polk Audio for the correct connectivity for each driver to double check.

I think you will have a red dot near the positive or plus terminal, on the MWsYamaha RXA1030, Yamaha CD-S2100, Yamaha AS-2200, Bluesound node 2i

Thanks for the reply.
I have talked to Polk support and now have the proper config of the driver connectors.
They are, as you look at the driver as if it were in the cabinet, connectors facing down.
Positive is the LEFT connector
Negative is the RIGHT Connector
Maybe this helps someone else down the road.
Enjoy,
Dale

There should be a red dot next to the positive connector. In the down configuration that will be the left connector.Political Correctness'.........defined

That Carver will push those 2B'S real good. The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

It does, and has been for over twenty years. The trio has been together that long. Have a Carver CT6 pre buy prefer the "Cd direct" sound personally.
Nice Olds by the way!! 68 or 69, cannot see the front or tail.

Good eye, 68 442, original engine 400cid, original Muncie close ratio 4-speed and original 3.91rear gear. Other than valve stem oil seals the engine has never been down, stock bore , stock rings etc. It is starting to get tired @119,000 miles. It is still a torque monster, well used but never too abused...lol.
And thank you.

I was going to ask you that the other day if the 442 had any significance as in Oldsmobile's. Nice, great cars they are indeed. The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

They are indeed. Had many over the years. Still have an 87 442 resting in my mom's garage. Certainly not one of the good ones tho.Polk SDA 2B's
