Centre Channel/How's My Setup
Hello All,
I recently picked up some Tsi500's (after consulting the forum here) and I freaking love them. It puts my system at a Pioneer VSX-520 receiver, Tsi500 fronts and Tsi100 rears. I don't have a sub (live in a small apartment and feel bad enough for the neighbours already) and passed on a centre channel. I figured the fronts would more than compensate for a centre. However, having played with the sound, I'm now wondering if I should look into getting a centre so I can have the 5.1 minus the .1. If I should get a centre, which one. The TsiCS10 is a nice price, the TSX150 is not much more and the TSX250, while a good $100 more than the CS10, seems to be the best of the three. My understanding is that it's quite important that the centre and the fronts match.
In short, any opinion on how important is a centre channel, which is the best match for my set up, and how's my set up looking so far would be appreciated.

For HT, a center is a must IMO... There are some that will argue though.

Canadian indeed. Which centre best matches? From what I've seen the CS20 is the proper match, but it seems difficult to find and a bit pricey. How different would the CS10 be?

I don't think too many would argue with you on that.
The center channel is definitely essential for any serious HT setup. -
First, they have to timber match....And second, the larger the betterRTiA5 + CSiA4 + Jamo SW410E
Yamaha TSR-700 (equivalent to RX V6A)
No surround...yet -
I haven't heard the CS1 but did own the CS2 for a while. Nice center and, on this site, always seems to be recommended over the smaller center.

The CS 20 is the perfect match for the Tsi 500, spend the extra cash and have no regrets.

I can't seem to find the CS20 in Canada. The CS10 is somewhat difficult to find, but I do know at least one place I can get my hands on it. The Canadian version of sites like Amazon or Newegg don't have either the CS20 or the CS10. The American versions of the same sites, where I found both quite easily, won't ship to Canada. May not have the option of the CS20.

Check out Visions electronics. '

Visions has the CS10, but not the 20. They've been my go to. I'm just salty that I missed the CS10 on sale for $128 from $198
