Do Sharp TV's have any kind of service menu?

Hi all, I just got a Sharp 32 inch from Best Buy. It has the 16x 9 mode for DVD's, which makes the picture look really, really good. The problem is that when I use it, with the DVD player in 16 x 9, the picture seems to be slighty squished. Everything is a little taller than they should be. I had a Sony 27 inch that had the same problem in 16 x 9, but it was easily fixed by accessing the service menu, and changing a couple of settings. When watching DVD's in 4 x 3, I don't have the problem, but the picture just isn't as good with all the scan lines. Is there anything at all I can do? I don't want to take it back, the things weighs over 100 lbs, and I'm a little guy lol.

is the Sharp a Wide Screen TV? If it Is Not Then Im Afraid it might not have a native 16:9 display and 'stretches' the picture inorder to achieve it.

I would think the dvd player should be set to 4:3 letterbox still. I dunno.
