I hooked my brother up with a B&K Ref 50, Luxman 2ch amp, Furman power conditioner, some decent interconnects, and Polk Monitor 70s a week ago.
He sent me a text message an hour ago saying " I just listened to Pink Floyd's Welcome To The Machine and I just heard it for the first time."

*Note that we grew up on Pink Floyd.

He's now asking me what is Flac and should I connect my Xbox with an optical cable for CDs and other good questions.

I told him welcome to the rabit hole. Maybe I should point him to this forum.

    Ha, he paid for the speakers. But I gave him everything else.
    I think I might give him the Nordost speaker cables too, they make the polk M70s sound so much better. I may even let him have my genelec sub, maybe. It's just hanging out doing nothing.
