Now that I have finally decided on surrounds (FXiA4), I need help with placement. The picture shows my layout. You can see where my polk monitors are placed until I get the new speakers.

Follow the general guidance on page 9 of the FXiA manual. Don't forget to consult the person in the photo that you appear to be cuddle up with. The WAF might be an impediment to optimal placement.

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

I would go with the back wall as well.

I finally received the speakers. I am going to put them on the back wall. Should they be directly above the ends of the couch or on the left and right of the couch?

My receiver is finally back from the shop. The Polk FXi A4 sound amazing. I want to upgrade more but not sure what to do first. I finally picked out a new sub, a PSA v1800. I am not sure if I should get that right now or an amp. I would like to get some suggestions on which to purchase first. I have not picked out an amp yet. I would like to try and keep the amp below $650. New or used, doesn't matter.
