Hi everyone, I have a Hafler DH100 preamp. I does not have a 1/4 inch headphone jack. I have a pair of AKG Q701 head phones that I would like to use with it. Is this possible and if so, how would I do this. On the back of the DH100 on one side there are 3 sets of RCA jacks, Phono, Tuner & Aux. On the other side there is the Line output along with Tape & Record. Could I use a Y adapter in any of these RCA's?

Usually when a preamp has a headphone output there is a circuit specifically intended to provide a sufficient signal to drive headphones. It might be better to use a headphone junction box connected to your power amp rather than try to use the preamp.
Or, of course one of the many low priced headphone amplifiers. -
Thanks Ken! My power amp only has line in and outputs for the spaekers.Hafler DH220 Power amp Recapped

Could I hook up a headphone amp to the aux or tape out? Saw this one on ebay.

Hello,
Yes, that would work fine. You can also use one of these:

This would connect to your power amp and allow you to power the headphones directly.
Cheers, Ken
