I use the project cork-it mat, pretty cheap and helps with static.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

That is why I didn't try one for my Rick88 turntable.
I did try something like this
http://www.duckbrand.com/products/shelf-liner-bath/non-adhesive-shelf-liner/original-grip/white-12-in-x-5-ft
one time years ago, but went back to the original mat.
It was free as the wife had it laying around... -
a leather mat is an interesting and intuitively appealing idea that... I've never heard or nor thought of before.
How can such a thing be? ;- )

I just got a Music Hall decoupling cork mat. I also re-did my setup for 180g records. So far so good.
